Awayday If you are planning an off site meeting, a team get together or rewarding your staff for a job well done, a treasure hunt can be an ideal way to spend part of your day in York. All treasure hunt can be tailor made to suit your particular requirements. The start and finish point could be your hotel or conference venue, or alternatively finish at a bar or restaurant of your choice. Typically a treasure hunt event takes between 2-3 hours to complete but can be made longer or shorter as required. During the course of a typical treasure hunt you might, amongst other things, walk down Roman roads, come across the grave of a notorious highwayman, find the birth place of an English traitor who's actions we celebrate every year, locate the oldest surviving houses in York, stumble on York's famous flooding pub, visit the site of York's public executions, uncover where William the Conqueror built his first castle, and unearth the most haunted pub in Britain (allegedly) If you are planning a visit to York, it would be a shame to leave not having explored and appreciated at least some of the treasures the city has to offer.
